Make pathways from school to work fair for everyone!
Every student with a disability deserves a fair pathway from school to work – no matter where we live.
Thanks to the success of our campaign in NSW, new exam guidelines have just been released – making the process of finishing school and beginning the next chapter of our lives fairer.
But there’s still a problem. Right now, there’s no national standards to ensure that other students with disabilities across Australia, outside of NSW, have access to these supports.
Whether young people with disability have a fair experience in their journey from school to work is a postcode lottery.
It’s time to change that.
If we stay silent, nothing will change. But if everyone gets behind this campaign – we can blaze a trail for every young person with a disability around Australia.
We need every single person who cares about this issue to sign our petition.

Right now, whether you have access to fair pathway from school to work, including things like exam provisions, depends on where in Australia you live.
We’re calling on all Australian state and territory governments to ensure clear, consistent and enforceable guidelines for support around assessments at schools for students living with disability.
Thanks to relentless campaigning by young people with cerebral palsy in NSW, the NSW Education Standards Authority released new policies that make it easier to get the support students need – whether that’s a support person in the room, a scribe, additional time, or assistive technology.
Let’s face it – exams are stressful enough without the added stress that this creates.
But students in other states and territories are still being left behind.
We’re calling on all state and territories to come to the table and create clear, consistent guidelines for exams for students with disabilities.
