Lived experience lab: the future of disability tech

Tuesday, December 5, 2023 | 6pm AEDT / 5:00 AEST / 4:30 ACST

CPActive is on a mission to create a world of opportunity, access and possibility for people with disabilities. And right now, there’s a proposal underway with state and federal governments to build a Hub for Human Potential. We are asking the CPActive community to come together and share  what YOU think the Hub should be able to deliver.

Come along to get a briefing on the Human Hub for Potential concept – what it’s all about – and have your voice heard about how this incredible initiative could support people with disability in Australia.

You’ll also hear from exciting guest speakers, including Georgina Henry, a Research Assistant of Epidemiology at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Institute.

The three pillars of innovation in this Hub will be:

  1. Learning: Education and upskilling
  2. Livelihood: Entrepreneurship and enabling work
  3. Living: Inclusive play, travel, sport and recreation

Do you have experiences to share, ideas or tech solutions, or even suggestions around how the Hub for Human Potential can solve the problem around the tech innovation we need in Australia? Come to this special community forum  and tell us all about it.

Who is this event for?

This event is a small group session focussed on hearing the experiences and ideas of people with lived experience of disability, including family members and carers.

While we encourage allies and supporters to attend many of our CPActive events, this lived experience lab is primarily for people with lived experience of disability.

We need the voices of lived experience to be at the heart of this design process. So come along and tell us what you think.
