Disability Pride Month

Disability Pride Month is a time to celebrate disability as an important part of human diversity, while recognising the strength, resilience and advocacy of disabled people and communities.

To mark the month, CPActive Champion, Kyra, shares what disability pride means to her. Kyra reflects on her journey into advocacy, the importance of community, and why embracing disability as part of her identity has helped shape the person she is today.

Through her story, she reminds us that disability pride looks different for everyone, and that every disabled person’s experience is valid.
